Nintendo DS - Get Going with the Innovations

...Once upon a time we were just simple people. But that was before we began relationships with the mechanical systems. Nowadays, technological innovations are taking place every now and then which are steadily facilitating all our requirements. The quest of the human minds never ends. They never seem to be satisfied with the available options.

Almost all the technological innovations which are created by man such as airplane, computer etc. speak little about his intelligence. In fact they reflect the volume of his intense creativity. Today, everybody seems to get busy in their hectic schedules that they cannot even understand what to choose from the available options. Moreover, the kids are so overburdened with study pressures that they hardly get enough time to refresh themselves.

As such, how can the genius minds rest. They have actually visualised this scenario long before. We are always asked to cross a bridge when we come across it, while there are lots of people who have already crossed the bridge in their imagination. These wise people actually visualised and actualised the electronic gaming consoles to offer the best alternative for fun.

These gaming systems are enhanced with various user friendly features such as joy sticks, controllers and buttons etc. Moreover, the attractive illustrations and animations help to create an interactive gaming environment. These gadgets are also enriched with audio an...more

The Realism of video Games

...ere are many video games using current events as a fantasy gaming world.

There are many theories as to the dearth of reality-based video games. Improved graphics, technology and game play make it easier to create the real world on the video game screen. It could be that developing a video game based on the battle in Afghanistan is easier to develop than starting a game from scratch with new characters, settings, storylines, etc. Perhaps it's a calculated effort to hone in on frustrated individuals who can't really join the fight: battle those terrorist creeps that you hate so much from the comfort of your own home. In the latter instance, at least, it can make for a quick way to make a quick dollar.

The Realism of Video Games

...you look at today's video games for popular systems like the Microsoft Xbox 360 or the Sony Playstation Portable, you can clearly see that video games are now using real world issues as their premise. Now, there are always a dearth of video games that are still fantasy based, and there always will be. But, more and more games are using Iraq as their setting rather than a mushroom kingdom. Could you imagine a video game in the early 1980s based on the Cold War? But, today, there are many video games using current events as a fantasy gaming world.

There are many theories as to the dearth of reality-based video games. Improved graphics, technology and game play make it easier to create the real world on the video game screen. Donkey Kong Jungle Climber (DS) - play Like Never Before

...Donkey Kong to be a little elaborate is a big monkey or gorilla or a primate of some sort. And in the game the stereotypical monkey, Donkey Kong is characterized to be someone who likes nothing more than to swing from a handy branch and that is what it is beautifully loaded in the game. And while playing Donkey Kong Jungle Climber for Nintendo DS, players would be spending more time making the Donkey Kong Climb one tree to another.

Continuity is another aspect which is taken in to account very carefully in this game. Once you resume the play you ...more

New Super Mario Bros. Review

... everything in the game and take part in all of the challenges.

Mario has plenty of moves this time round. He will still run, jump and stomp but there are a few more moves that give him more flexibility, and he'll need it to negotiate his way through some of the more deadly platform elements and enemies that he will encounter. A butt bounce will allow him to smash the blocks he's standing on. He can grow large enough to take up the entire screen, which allows him to smash tons of blocks and take care of smaller enemies by trampling them. A mini-mushroom will make Mario tiny and allow him to enter into small places. It will also let him walk over water. A wall bounce lets him scale walls to reach new heights or can be used if he falls into a pit. Platforms will twist, bend, warp, shrink, expand, hover, fall, elevate and destruct. I don't think the developers left anything out. Even the ground will undulate, causing Mario to experience a rippling effect not unlike a ship on a stormy sea. Despite all these new elements and moves, the game doesn't take full advantage of the DS's unique control system - not the touch screen control system or even the dual screen for that matter. The bottom screen is basically used just to display your progress in each level. The touch feature is used almost exclusively to access your power-ups. In other words, there's nothing that you would really miss, control-wise, if this game were released on the GBA. However, the graphics are what really matters and this g...more
